My birthday is on December 26. So is Kyle’s. He’s Mom’s son and dad of my dad, Henry. Kyle is the guy who is tall, has fur on his face and can throw the ball really far. I can’t really describe his smell. I’ll just say I like it.
Anyway, Kyle doesn’t like having for his birthday the day after Christmas. He says that he gets all his gifts at once and then has to go a whole year without presents. I don’t think that’s going to be a problem for me. I think treats and presents are the same thing and I get treats every day. Unless I’m naughty. I don’t like talking about that.
But I have learned that there are some bad, bad things about my birthday that make me upset and I guess they have something to do with Christmas. Look at these things! They are huge. When Mom and I are in Sun Lakes we walk by these houses everyday and nothing, literally nothing, ever changes. Then one day – BOOM – these things appear.
They are terrifying. I’m not kidding! And sometimes they move.
As if that wasn’t enough, check out these! What is going on? This used to be such a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood. And these things move, too.
Then I saw these deer. No way Mom was going to let me chase them but don’t you think it’s mean for them to stand there teasing me? Every day?
This poor doggie is my neighbor. He never barks at me. He just stands there every day holding his toy. Look what someone did to him! I’m so embarrassed for him.
I admit that I’ve gotten used to most of these things, but not the deer. These aren’t the only ones, either. I dream about chasing them just to get even.
My birthday seems real important to Mom so what the heck? It’s OK. Woody doesn’t know his birthday. He has an adoption day. That was a long, long time ago. Woody is really old. Have I told you that he is grouchy?
Anyway, the best thing about my birthday was going to the park to play ball. But I get to do that all the time. This birthday thing is very confusing.
Mom wants me to remind you to subscribe to my blog. She’s sorry this post is late. I guess there were problems with the web-net and something called Cox. I’ll be back soon. In the mean time, Happy New Year and remember to drink plenty of water.
